From Braga follow the national highway Nº 103 in the direction of Chaves. Arriving at Montalegre follow signs to Pitões das Júnias

There is another possibility: follow the same road Nº 103 to the dam Vendas Novas. Cross the dam to Paradela, Outeiro. Arriving at Covelães turn left on the Pitões / Tourém plate.

These "shelters" or mountain lodges where you can enjoy sweeping views between narrow valleys and fearful peaks of the National Park Peneda-Geres, remain in do Coto Street, in the village of Pitões das Júnias, a typical mountain village in the intermediate zone of Geres and Barroso to 1164m altitude.

The shelters have basic amenities of modern life, but are specially prepared for those who enjoy the simple life of the mountain and the nature.

Adorei o fim-de-semana que passei nos Abrigos de Pitões. O local é fantástico! A região é cheia de locais e paisagens sem igual. Excelente para atividades ao ar livre e desfrutar da natureza.
